Senior Night Brings a Win for CHS Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams

Clinton High School Cross Country teams swept their opponents in their final home meet of the year on Monday, October 4th.
It was also Senior Night and Dorothy Trent, Joey Ardelt, Campbell Atkinson and Hayden Miner were honored before the race. All four of them have been on the team for six years showing much improvement over the year and demonstrating great leadership for this season.
“Coach Mary Gibbs and I are very proud of the progress our teams have made throughout the season,” said Coach Lee Atkinson. “We had some of the best times of the season today on our home course, which isn’t easy to do.”
CHS Cross Country has two more regular season meets – at Palmetto Thursday, October 7th and at Mid-Carolina on Tuesday, October 12th.
The County Championship will be hosted by Laurens at Lakeside on Tuesday, October 19th. The Region Championship will be held at Oasis Farms at Connie Maxwell in Greenwood on Saturday, October 23rd.
