Serve & Connect launches 2025 “Feed an Officer” campaign in honor of fallen Officer Greg Alia

August 19, 2025

Donations & Volunteers Needed to Help Deliver Meals to Over 1,000 Officers this December

This December, Serve & Connect invites the community to join its annual Feed an Officer campaign, honoring the legacy of Officer Greg Alia, who was killed in the line of duty on September 30, 2015. On Friday, December 12th, volunteers will deliver lunches to more than 1,000 law enforcement officers across the Midlands—just two days before Officer Greg Alia Day, officially recognized on December 14th by the City of Forest Acres and Richland County.

The Feed an Officer Campaign is a heartfelt tradition that thanks the men and women who serve and protect our communities every day. Community members can participate by donating meals, volunteering for delivery routes, or partnering as local restaurants to sponsor stations. Volunteers will be paired with a restaurant and assigned to a designated station to ensure every meal reaches its destination with gratitude and care. Donations will be accepted through Friday, December 6th.
