Seven Brides for Seven Brothers Hitches Up With Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College on March 8, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.

February 4, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC – Get lost in an evening of boot-stomping, hand-clapping song and dance with the tenth installment of Harbison Theatre’s 2014-2015 Signature Series, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Sunday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m.

The classic musical theatre production, based on the original 1950s film, is a romantic comedy that has toured internationally for years – and is now coming to the Midlands to capture Harbison Theatre patrons’ hearts, courtesy of a nationally-touring professional theatre company.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers will take audience members on a ride back in time to rural 1850s Oregon, where rugged mountain man Adam is on the search for the perfect bride. The catch? She’ll have to look after not only him, but his six brawny brothers, as well. Once Adam meets Milly, a kind, local waitress, all looks well – until Milly realizes one mountain man is more than enough to handle, and sets out to find matches for each of her wild brothers-in-law.

The rambunctious characters, fun story line and catchy tunes of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers will have audience members laughing and singing along, while perched on the edge of their seats, wondering what antics these in-laws could possibly get into next.
