About the Event
 .
Brought to you by Soda City Friends and approaching its fourth year, the Gervais Street Bridge Dinner has become a marquee celebration of the Columbia region. The 1,000-person event continues to draw much needed attention to the Congaree River and its vital importance to our area’s ecosystem.
 .
The Gervais Street Bridge Dinner is a seated sunset Sunday supper on the Columbia region’s most iconic landmark, featuring live music, thriving artists, Southern Lights, and a three-course dinner with cocktails, beer, and wine. It  was conceived as a celebration of two cities, distinguished by the powerful Congaree River, a waterway vital to the Midland’s ecosystem, and united by the most iconic landmark in the region, the Gervais Street Bridge.
 .
A slew of new features and innovative ideas will be unveiled at this year’s Gervais Street Bridge Dinner,  including the more traditional musical acts, vibrant artists, themed-drinks, and fresh food.

About Soda City
 .
Soda City is an event company. The namesake, Soda City Market is meant to be a microcosm of Columbia. It runs year-round, rain or shine. Often times, Columbia is shortened to Cola, an abbreviation first created by the U.S. Postal Service. Emile DeFelice likes to joke that it’s because it’s too hot to write the entire word. From Cola came Soda City. It’s a moniker which has resonated well with locals and has recently inspired the name of a new city shuttle system dubbed Soda Cap Connector. The logo is a soda cap in part because of the name [Soda City] but also because Columbia is the capital city of South Carolina.
