SOS Cares seeks volunteers to help with spring events

January 28, 2026

SOS Cares is a Murrells Inlet-based non-profit that provides resources and programs for children and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities.  With a goal of empowering individuals to live as independently as possible, the organization hosts a variety of camps, activities, and classes that teach vital life and social skills throughout Horry, Georgetown, and Charleston counties.

Like most non-profits, they rely on the compassion and generosity of volunteers to help accomplish their goals. Currently, they are looking for volunteers to assist them with a number of spring events planned throughout the Lowcountry.

From staffing an outreach table at a Volunteer Fair, to helping with a Golf event, Motorcycle Ride or Pickleball event, here’s an overview of the events SOS Care has planned and could use help:

February 19 – Friends of the Waccamaw Neck Library Volunteer Fair in Pawley Island

March 9 – SOS Cares Charity Golf Benefit at The Reserve in Pawleys Island

April 11 – Eight Annual Ride for Autism at Harley Davidson, North Myrtle Beach

April 18 – Pickleball with a Purpose at Kingdom Belle Hall, Charleston
