South Carolina Bankers Association announces 2024 Outstanding Young Bankers Award recipient
July 16, 2024The South Carolina Bankers Association (SCBA) announced Rufus T. “Wells” Dunlap V as the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding Young Banker Award. Wells, who serves as Senior Vice President and Senior Operations Officer for Countybank, was honored with the prestigious award at the SCBA annual meeting held on June 21, 2024 at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
Reeves Skeen, the 2023 Outstanding Young Banker and Area Executive – Southern Coastal Area of First Citizens Bank, had the honor of announcing Wells as this year’s award recipient at the annual meeting. Commenting on Wells’ achievements, Skeen stated, “This acknowledgment is a testament to your dedication, expertise, and commitment to our industry. I couldn’t think of a better person to be honored this year. Congratulations, Wells, on being awarded Outstanding Young Banker!”
A South Carolina native, Wells graduated from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC in 2008 and has been a valued member of Countybank since 2013. His dedication to professional growth is evident through his completion of The South Carolina Bankers School in 2017 and The Graduate School of Banking at LSU in 2022. Wells also demonstrated leadership within the SCBA as Chairman of the Young Bankers Division from 2022 to 2023.
