South Carolina communicators unite for CONNECT 2025

October 28, 2025

South Carolina’s leading professional communicators are joining forces once again for CONNECT 2025, the statewide conference hosted by AAF Midlands, IABC/SC and SCPRSA. Designed to unite advertising, communications and public relations professionals, the event offers a full day of learning, networking and inspiration.

The conference returns to the South Carolina Department of Archives and History in Columbia on Thursday, Nov. 13, and welcomes both new and seasoned professionals, members, non-members and students. Attendees will gain insights into the latest industry trends, explore innovative strategies and build valuable connections.

Darci Strickland Rush, former Emmy Award–winning anchor for WLTX in Columbia and current senior chief communications and strategic partnerships officer for Richland School District Two, will deliver the keynote address, “From News to Narrative: Leading with Purpose in Communications.” She will share her perspective on authentic storytelling, leadership and communication strategies that drive meaningful impact.

In addition to the keynote, CONNECT 2025 will feature a lineup of accomplished speakers from agencies, corporations and public institutions across South Carolina. Sessions will cover purposeful leadership, team building, mastering communications craft, leveraging artificial intelligence and navigating real-world crisis communications. Each session is designed to provide practical takeaways, career insights and inspiration for communicators at every level.

The conference invites all communicators within South Carolina to connect, learn and grow with the state’s industry leaders and emerging professionals. Registration is now open and will run through October 30. Visit bit.ly/connectconferenceevent2025 to secure a spot and view the full conference schedule.
