South Carolina ETV announces restructuring of television News division

March 12, 2020

South Carolina ETV (SCETV) announced plans to restructure its television News division. In an effort to further elevate its status as a statewide resource for news, the network has promoted Aimee Crouch to director of News and has transitioned Tom Posey to director of Government Transparency.

Having started her career at SCETV, Crouch has worked for South Carolina’s public media network for more than two decades. A four-time Southeast Emmy Award nominee and winner for “Remembering Charleston,” Crouch has most recently served as SCETV’s senior producer for News and Public Affairs. In that role, she has produced several weekly programs, including “Palmetto Scene” and “This Week in South Carolina.”

“At SCETV, one of our primary objectives is to keep the citizens of this state informed. The continued growth of our television News division will allow us to do just that. I’m proud to ask two of our veteran team members to lead this charge and look forward to further solidifying SCETV’s reputation as the statewide resource for South Carolina news,” said SCETV President and CEO Anthony Padgett.

Since 1998, the network has provided the vital service of government transparency through gavel-to-gavel coverage of South Carolina’s House and Senate proceedings. As SCETV continues to grow these efforts, through House and Senate sessions, committee meetings and other governmental meetings, Posey’s new position as director of Government Transparency will be critical.

Posey, a South Carolina television news veteran, began his career at WIS-TV in 1976. He joined the SCETV team in the late 1980s and has since led the way as the network has continued to elevate its state news coverage efforts.
