South Carolina Federal hosts school supply drive for Lowcountry Orphan Relief

August 15, 2016

South Carolina Federal Credit Union will be hosting a school supply drive to benefit Lowcountry Orphan Relief. Charleston-area financial centers will be outfitted with bins for community donations until August 31st.

Lowcountry Orphan Relief is in need of school supplies and school uniform items (white and navy polo shirts and navy and khaki pants), as well as, new socks and underwear.

The organization has clothed over 20,000 children in the tri-county area, during times of need and crisis, since its founding in 2006.

South Carolina Federal established the South Carolina Federal Credit Union Foundation in 2012 to simplify the credit union’s fundraising process and provide a Life SimplifiedSM method for employees to make and keep track of tax-deductible donations. Eleven nonprofits directly benefit from the dollars employees pledge through the Foundation in addition to the pool of matching funds committed by the credit union.
