SouthCon Building Group promotes Brandon Needham to vice president

December 12, 2025

SouthCon Building Group, a full-service general contractor based in Mount Pleasant, has promoted Brandon Needham to Vice President. In addition to his new role on the executive leadership team, Needham will continue to support SouthCon’s clients as a senior project manager.

“Brandon is proven leader who has significantly contributed to SouthCon’s growth and solid track record of client satisfaction over the past decade,” said Chris Spach, SouthCon Building Group’s President and CEO. “It is with great pride and confidence that I announce this well-deserved promotion.”

Since joining SouthCon in 2014, Needham has managed numerous successful projects, two of which were recognized for Excellence in Construction at the highest level. Both the Boone Hall Plantation 1850s Gin House Renovation and Addition in Mount Pleasant and the Southern First Bank Regional Headquarters located in downtown Charleston were awarded the prestigious Eagle Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC Carolinas) in 2024 and 2017, respectively – with the Boone Hall project also being named ABC’s Project of the Year. In addition, these two projects won top awards at the ABC national level.

Needham is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. Prior to joining SouthCon, he held increasingly responsible project management positions with several well-known firms in North Carolina.
