Southeastern Freight Lines promotes Richard Slater to vice president of human resources

Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, today announced Richard Slater has been promoted to vice president of human resources.

Slater has more than eight years of experience at Southeastern, serving the last three years as human resources director. Before working his way up through the company, Slater started his career in the support center with inside sales. After meeting and exceeding expectations, he was promoted to various positions, including account manager, operations manager and service center manager in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Richard is an excellent communicator,” said Richard Bogan, senior vice president of human resources and quality for Southeastern Freight Lines. “He loves the interaction that accompanies human resources, is easy to talk with, and has the best interest of our company at heart to enhance our mission.”
