Southeastern Wildlife Exposition inaugural Lifetime Stewardship Award

Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) honored George J. Bullwinkel Jr. and Len Hutchison with the inaugural Lifetime Stewardship Award for their years of significant contribution and extraordinary dedication and service to SEWE.
George J. Bullwinkel Jr. is the former Senior Vice President and President and CEO, SCANA Communications, Inc. at SCANA Corp.
Len Hutchison is the Wells Fargo Business Banking Manager and Charleston Area President.
Bullwinkel and Hutchison have been involved with the non-profit organization in some capacity for the past 25 years; both serve on the Board of Directors and have worked with SEWE through sponsor organizations Wells Fargo and SCANA.
“Len and George have played an integral part in the viability of SEWE for more than two decades,” says Jimmy Huggins, SEWE President.
The SEWE Lifetime Stewardship award was created to honor those individuals who have given selflessly to the organization over the last 3 decades. Mr. Bullwinkel and Mr. Hutchinson have both contributed their time, financial support and business acumen for which there is a direct correlation to the viability of the show.
“Since its humble beginnings in 1983, the support of community leaders such as Len and George has helped the event grow into the largest and most respected wildlife art event of its kind,” adds John Powell, SEWE Executive Director.
The honorees were presented with an award, an original bronze sculpture by David Turner, at a tribute dinner and kickoff event for the 2016 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, held in February at the Gaillard Center. The event included live painting and sculpting, animals, and a variety of music.
The 2017 Tribute Dinner will be held Wednesday, February 15th with the honoree being announced in the fall.

Now in its 35th year, the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition has proudly presented the finest in wildlife art, conservation and the sporting lifestyle. The 35th annual SEWE will be held in multiple venues throughout downtown Charleston, S.C. from February 17-19, 2017 with VIP events beginning on Thursday, February 16. SEWE draws more than 40,000 each year from across the nation.
