Southland CEO Visits China, Reaches Agreement For More Log Home Exports

February 11, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC – The CEO of Southland Log Homes traveled to the People’s Republic of China in January to visit a completed Southland log home in Hunan Province. Ken Sekley, Southland’s CEO, also met with the company’s Chinese business partners to reach an agreement for future log home exports, and to plan shipments to China in coming months.

“We are very excited to be growing Southland’s export business to China”, said Sekley. “We are learning that Chinese customers value the same things about log homes as American customers: the natural beauty of the logs, the durability and craftsmanship of the construction, and the sustainability and energy efficiency of the homes. They also recognize the high quality of American-produced designs and materials.”
