Spartanburg Business and Professional Women’s Club Recognizes SMC’s Jennifer Hutcherson
April 21, 2015SPARTANBURG, SC – The Breakfast of Spartanburg Business and Professional Women’s Club recently awarded the 2014-2015 Vergene Colloms Scholarship to Jennifer Hutcherson of Campobello, SC.
The annual scholarship is provided to women age 25 or older seeking education necessary for entry, re-entry or advancement within the work force. Hutcherson, a current student in the Spartanburg Methodist College Paralegal Certificate Evening Program, is employed as a paralegal by the Johnson, Smith, Hibbard & Wildman Law Firm, L.L.P. in Spartanburg, SC.
A previous law enforcement officer, crime scene investigator, and member of the United States Army, Hutcherson enrolled in the SMC Paralegal Certificate Evening Program in April of 2014. “Jennifer quickly immersed herself in her legal studies and within a short time transitioned into a positon with a respected and successful firm where she immediately put her prior education, talents and newly acquired legal training to use. Hutcherson will attend the June BPW membership meeting where she will be recognized as the recipient of the Vergene Colloms Scholarship.
