Leadership of Spartanburg Community College and Converse University signed agreements to develop a block transfer program that offers SCC graduates who successfully complete an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree the opportunity to enroll in Converse University toward the completion of a bachelor’s degree.

“It is a great day today to be a Chaser at Spartanburg Community College as we share the impactful opportunity in partnership with Converse University to enhance the capacity for individuals from all walks of life to chase and live out their dreams,” said Dr. Michael Mikota, President of Spartanburg Community College. “With each initiative we launch, we further denote that Spartanburg Community College is leading higher education efforts to advance opportunity and economic vitality in the Upstate of South Carolina.”

Students seeking to transfer directly to Converse University must fulfill all prerequisite requirements at SCC and follow all requirements for admission processes and timelines as outlined in Converse University’s Undergraduate Catalog, available here.

“We are excited to continue the strong partnership between Converse University and Spartanburg Community College in a formal way through this transfer agreement,” said Converse University President Dr. Boone Hopkins.
