Spartanburg County Foundation announces Giving Tuesday campaign ‘boost’ for twelve local nonprofits in partnership with Spartanburg Gives’ Brew Good event December 3 at FR8yard

As Spartanburg Gives prepares to host the 5th Annual Brew Good for Giving Tuesday event at FR8yard on December 3, the Spartanburg County Foundation has announced a $500 grant for each of the twelve participating local nonprofits to kick off their Giving Tuesday campaign.
Each year Spartanburg Gives, a local organization amplifying the needs of nonprofits in Spartanburg County, hosts an evening at FR8yard on Giving Tuesday inviting the community to learn about and support local nonprofit with free beverages and live tunes.
“Last year we were thrilled to give out $7,500 in grants to 20+ local organizations during the event to help with their Giving Tuesday campaigns,” says Spartanburg Gives’ Founder, Kathryn Harvey. “The Spartanburg County Foundation’s willingness to boost these organizations at the beginning of their efforts will only engage the community more as we head into this Global Day of Giving.”
“Brew Good expresses gratitude to our local nonprofit community serving residents across Spartanburg County. As we highlight the important work of nonprofits, we challenge the community to match, and even exceed, the $500 grants to each organization provided by Spartanburg County Foundation,” said Ashley Whitt, Vice President of Grants and Community Impact.
The community can join the event for free from 5:30-8pm on December 3 at FR8Yard, 125 East Main Street, as they share the night with Dickens of a Christmas in downtown Spartanburg. Folks can RSVP at spartanburggives.org.
