Spartanburg Economic Futures Group welcomes Meagan Rethmeier as Director of Small Business and Entrepreneurial Development

The Spartanburg Economic Futures Group (EFG) announced the addition of Meagan Rethmeier as the Director of Small Business and Entrepreneurial Development.

Rethmeier joins the Economic Futures Group after working over seven years with BB&T in Winston-Salem, NC, where she was the Organizational Change Management Lead. While at BB&T, she led project management of a large-scale business workflow software installation; developed detailed impact assessments of project to client and associate experience; identified and designed better business and leadership processes; and developed business associate readiness plans. Rethmeier holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wake Forest University.

As Director of Small Business and Entrepreneurial Development, Rethmeier will administer and implement small business and entrepreneurial programming for the Economic Futures Group, and lead all activities of the Spartanburg Entrepreneurial Resource Network (SERN). She will also manage the day-to-day operations of the Spartanburg Angel Network (SAN). It will be the key goal of Rethmeier to develop, implement, and support initiatives designed to create a healthy entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spartanburg County.
