Spartanburg Water engineer graduates from national water leadership program

CHICAGO, IL – Angie Price, P.E., graduated from the Water Environment Federation’s 2015 Water Leadership Institute program recently at the WEF’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference. She was in a class of 38 water professionals from across the country that represented utilities, consultants, manufacturers, and government agencies. Price is Utilities Asset Engineer for Spartanburg Water.
“The goal of this program is to grow leaders who can develop and implement solutions to the challenges facing the water sector, such as aging infrastructure, climate change, financial constraints and increased demands,” said Sue Schneider, Spartanburg Water Chief Executive Officer.
The Water Leadership Institute encourages networking, innovation, entrepreneurship and professional commitment from those individuals who will be leading the water sector in the coming decades, to preserve and enhance water resources for the current generation, as well as future generations. The Water Environment Federation program, which provides formal training and opportunities to meet with water sector leaders, is in its fourth year.
