Special veterans program with Stacy Pearsall at Upcountry History Museum
January 10, 2024On Saturday, January 13, 2024, Stacy Pearsall, one of America’s most decorated female combat photographers, will lead a panel discussion at the Upcountry History Museum with fellow Veterans as they share their military experience and discuss what life is like before, during and after action.
One of only a few female combat photojournalists, retired Air Force Staff Sergeant Pearsall has traveled to over 41 countries, served in three combat tours of Iraq, and is the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and Air Force Commendation with Valor. Her work is featured in the exhibition, “Hard Earned: The Military Photographs of Stacy Pearsall & The Veteran’s Portrait Project.”
Saturday’s event begins at 3:30 p.m. with a reception and light refreshments followed at 4:00 p.m. by the panel discussion and special preview of an “After Action” episode from the acclaimed South Carolina ETV series produced and hosted by Pearsall. Joining Pearsall will be veterans Desiree Gordon and Joe Worley, as well as local Army veteran and Greenville County Veteran Affairs Officer Alan Dabney.
This special program is in partnership with The ETV Endowment of South Carolina. Event admission is FREE for ETV Endowment Members and Veterans; however, registration is required as space is limited.
