Splittgerber becomes a partner at Derrick, Stubbs and Stith

COLUMBIA, SC – March 12, 2013 – Derrick, Stubbs & Stith, LLP, a Columbia firm providing accounting, auditing, taxation and business consulting, announced that David L. Splittgerber, CPA, has been admitted as a partner.
Splittgerber, who joined Derrick Stubbs in 2008, brings more than 20 years experience in both public and private accounting to his new role. He has extensive experience in audit and assurance services. Prior to his promotion, he served as the audit manager of the firm. His responsibilities include supporting the auditing and accounting practice of the firm, development of professional staff and implementation of technology into the auditing practice. He also provides tax planning for businesses and individuals.
David Masters, managing partner at Derrick Stubbs, said Splittgerber is an asset to the organization. David complements the firm’s service model, which is to provide innovative solutions designed to help businesses and individuals achieve their financial goals, he said.
Splittgerber says helping people is his passion. He values client relationships and enjoys seeing the firm grow through its mission to provide professional services at the highest level. Splittgerber received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina in 1992. He earned a master in accountancy degree from USC in 1993, and his certified public accountant certification in 1994. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
