Spreading Holiday Cheer: Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Christmas for Kids Program

December 22, 2024

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Christmas for Kids program has once again brought holiday cheer to families across the community. This year, the program provided assistance to more than 250 children, 12 senior citizens, and 20 individuals utilizing the services of the Laurens County Safe Home and C4 Ministries (formerly Laurens County Family Promise).

The success of this program would not be possible without the overwhelming generosity of local businesses, organizations, individual donors, and dedicated sponsors. The outpouring of support and love from the community has been truly remarkable. “It takes more than a village…it takes an entire county,” organizers shared in gratitude.

Behind the scenes, a team of volunteers and staff worked tirelessly to ensure the program ran smoothly. From conducting interviews and securing funding to shopping and coordinating logistics, every effort was carried out with passion and dedication. The hard work of these individuals does not go unnoticed.
“The true meaning of Christmas often shines brightest in the simple gift of giving,” said Sheriff Don Reynolds. “There’s something special about witnessing the joy in a child’s eyes and seeing the wonder that only the spirit of Christmas can bring. Christmas is about the love and generosity that brings people together. I am humbled by the support shown to this office and the Christmas for Kids program every single year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

With the season wrapped up, Santa’s Shop at the Sheriff’s Office has officially closed. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this year’s program possible. Your kindness and support have made a lasting impact on those in need.
