Stamato joins Morton & Gettys

Mary Stamato, a skilled attorney with experience representing clients in York, Union and Lancaster Counties, has joined Morton & Gettys as an associate. She will focus her practice on civil litigation and family law.

Stamato has advanced training from the National Family Law Trial Institute. Through that intensive program, she studied with top litigators, judges, and forensics experts, honing her litigation skills in all aspects of trial work, from opening statements to closing arguments.

Stamato is now putting those skills to work for Morton & Gettys clients in real estate, probate, and collections litigation. She also represents family law clients in divorce and separation, child custody, and child support. Stamato is licensed in North Carolina as well as in South Carolina.

A graduate of the University South Carolina School of Law, Stamato worked as a student attorney in the school’s Education Rights Clinic and served as staff editor for the “Journal of Law and Education.”

Stamato earned a bachelor’s degree at the College of Charleston in Anthropology and English language and literature.
