Stantec expands Transportation and Landscape Architecture teams in South Carolina
October 28, 2019Stantec, a leading global design and engineering firm, has welcomed three professionals to its growing Transportation and Landscape Architecture teams in Charleston and Columbia.
Maureen O’Brien-Pitts (see featured image) has joined Stantec’s Columbia office as a Senior Roadway Engineer in its Transportation practice. She brings more than 20 years of experience managing state and local government transportation projects for clients such as the South Carolina and Georgia Departments of Transportation. She is well-versed in project management and coordination, transportation design, permitting, roadway drainage design, construction administration, and utility coordination. O’Brien-Pitts is a Columbia resident and a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a registered engineer in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
Nabarjun Vashisth has joined Stantec’s Charleston office as a Traffic Analyst in its Transportation practice. Bringing nearly five years of experience in roadway design and traffic engineering, he is well-versed in geometric design for various roadway projects, erosion and control layouts, signing and marking plans, road safety audits, site layouts, and traffic impact assessment studies. Vashisth is a Charleston resident and a graduate of Clemson University.
Wade Alexander has also joined the Charleston office as a Landscape Designer in the firm’s Landscape Architecture practice. He brings more than five years of experience working on large-scale residential, education, government facilities, and commercial site design projects, as well as public garden operations. He brings in-depth horticultural knowledge to his role and is well-versed in master planning, construction documents and details, and computer and hand graphics. Alexander is a lifelong Charleston resident. He is graduate of the University of Georgia with a master’s in Landscape Architecture, and of Clemson University with a bachelor of science in Environmental Horticulture.
