Stantec has hired two more staff – office reaches 50 people to better serve our transportation and development markets

Stantec has hired two additional staff in their Charleston office to support their transportation and environmental design groups.

  

Dan Huisman and Marcus Sizemore

Dan Huisman joins Stantec’s Charleston office as a transportation designer. He has three years of experience working on roadway improvement projects for Stantec-Waterloo which include stormwater design, grading, corridor modeling, drainage analysis, intersection design, and subsurface utility coordination. He is passionate about growing his expertise in modelling software, including Civil3D and Microstation. Huisman graduated from Conestoga College with an advanced diploma in civil engineering and will work alongside Stantec’s growing transportation group in the region.

Marcus Sizemore joins Stantec as a senior environmental scientist. He brings more than 12 years of experience providing environmental consulting to transportation, utility, and commercial development clients.  Sizemore specializes in state and federal environmental permitting, stream assessments, biological assessments, watershed studies, wetland mitigation plans, biological/sediment sampling, ecological restoration, environmental construction compliance, and data analysis. His project portfolio includes highway, railroad, bridge, utility, and airport projects, as well as several land development/redevelopment projects and stream/wetland mitigation projects.
