State’s largest contraceptive access initiative announces new FQHC manager

Choose Well is pleased to announce Amber Williams, M.Ed., LPC, has been named manager of its Federally Qualified Health Center Partners. She brings a decade of highly successful clinical leadership and community counseling to the team.
Prior to joining Choose Well, Amber served as a clinical supervisor and counselor in multiple mental health centers and school-based programs across the country. Her expertise in case management and supervising clinical staff in data validation, policy adherence and clinical documentation compliance, as well as collaborating with service providers to ensure program growth and referral network strength, will prove invaluable to meeting the expanded needs of Choose Well’s growing FQHC Partner network.
Amber has a bachelor’s degree from College of Charleston and a master’s degree in community counseling from Clemson University. Additionally, she is a licensed professional counselor.
“Amber’s clinical knowledge and success working with a network of community partners makes her a perfect fit as Choose Well’s newest FQHC manager,” said Choose Well Director Stephanie Isaacs. “She has been with us for the past two years as a coordinator. We’re excited to have her in this expanded role and know she will serve as a strong resource for our growing FQHC Partner network moving forward.”
Choose Well is a contraceptive access initiative of New Morning Foundation, a South Carolina-based nonprofit. The initiative’s goal is to reduce unintended pregnancies in South Carolina by increasing awareness of and access to birth control. Choose Well is funded entirely from private-sector contributions. Its grants support partner organizations including federally qualified health centers (FQHC), SC DHEC county-based clinics, university health clinics, hospital systems, and medical and nursing schools.
