Statement from the SC Chamber of Commerce on Governor McMaster’s Fiscal Year 2019-20 Executive Budget

SC Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Ted Pitts, released the following statement on the unveiling of Governor Henry McMaster’s Fiscal Year 2019-20 Executive Budget: 

“Governor McMaster’s Executive Budget focuses on the right items to move South Carolina forward. In 2019, we must tackle the big issues like teacher recruitment & retention, improving education, developing a workforce for today and reforming our tax code. The business community is eager to work with Governor McMaster and the legislature to ensure that we make progress for families and job creators this year.”
