Stevens & Wilkinson welcomes interns from Clemson University and the University of South Carolina
July 3, 2019At Stevens & Wilkinson, an architecture, engineering, and interior design firm, our team approaches every design as a chance to learn and better their craft. As a firm, we aim to provide experiences that enhance our team in their careers. As an Intern Friendly Firm (IFF), we welcome interns throughout the year offering the necessary in-depth hands-on training and learning opportunities; local industry experience; and professional development. This Summer, our South Carolina office welcomed five interns who are working on projects in our architecture, engineering, and marketing departments.
Isabel Korn, a rising senior and Calhoun Honors College student at Clemson University, has interned with Stevens & Wilkinson since 2017, contributing to projects in the firm’s K-12, Government, and Healthcare market sectors. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture and the Allied Arts. Korn, who also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, will continue to intern in the firm’s architecture department.
Gauge Bethea, architectural intern, and a junior at Clemson University, is working on projects in the firm’s K-12 Studio. Bethea is on the accelerated path to licensure through Clemson’s IPAL program. He is also the recent winner of AIA Greater Columbia’s People Choice Award.
Patrick Smith, civil engineering intern, and rising senior at Clemson University, will work directly with the firm’s senior-level engineers on projects in the K-12 and government sectors. Ryan Trinter, an upcoming sophomore at Clemson University and a mechanical engineering intern, is working on projects for clients in the K-12, healthcare, and government sectors.
Camerin Aull, marketing intern, is an Honors College student and rising sophomore at the University of South Carolina. Aull will study both International Business and Marketing at the Darla Moore School of Business. Aull is working with the firm’s Director and Manager of Marketing & Communications on the implementation of a new contact data management system. She is also serving as one of the firm’s Digital Media Ambassadors.
With the summer already in full-swing, we are excited to see each of the ‘Smart Design Solutions’ these aspiring young professionals will produce before heading back to school in August.
