Stormwater Studios hosts ArtFields winners 2013-17 – March 9

Stormwater Studios, the artists’ studios and gallery space formerly known as Vista Studios/Gallery80808, will host “ArtFields Winners 2013 – 17,” its first art show in its brand new home at 413 Pendleton Street. The ArtFields show represents not only the first show at Stormwater Studios, but also the first time ArtFields has shown its winning art works outside of Lake City, S.C. The show at Stormwater Studios will open on March 9, 6 – 9 p.m., and will be open to the public Thursday – Saturday, from 1 -6 p.m. through March 31, 2018.
ArtFields Winners 2013 – 17 will feature 11 works of art by winners of ArtFields juried prizes and peoples’ choice prizes. As the first show of its kind as ArtFields sends its winners on the road, the show at Stormwater Studios will serve as a preview for the caliber of art attendees of ArtFields 2018 can see at the annual festival this spring. This is also the first show open to the public at the new Stormwater Studios.
“We’re excited to see this show in Columbia and to have it at Stormwater Studios,” said Fred Delk of Columbia Development Corporation. “This is an excellent example of how we look forward to using our space at our beautiful and functional new studio and gallery space.”
At the opening of this show on March 9, which is free and open to the public, beer and wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be available. Attendees are encouraged to come and see the ArtFields artworks on display, many of which will be on display outdoors.
Opening celebrations for Stormwater Studios will continue this spring as the Resident Artists at Stormwater Studios open their first show in conjunction with Art Night at Artista Vista 2018 on Thursday, April 19. Stay tuned for more information about this show.
