Students & Parents can access educational resources from Richland Library

As students and parents across the Midlands are adjusting to back-to-school routines, Richland Library is sharing a list of supplies to tackle assignments inside and outside the classroom this year.

Take advantage of all the educational resources that we’re offering, such as:

Elementary School

  • Children’s Room Reading Specialists & Education Studio – Make an appointment with our Children’s Room reading specialists who share guidance, materials and learning strategies to help emerging readers. Also, pick up decodable readers and curriculum guides through the Education Studio at our Main location.
  • SC Education Standards – Find out more about SC Education Standards. From kindergarten math to third grade science, follow the curriculum for different grade levels with staff-selected videos, activities and books.
  • BrainPOP Jr. – Interact with educational videos and loads of activities that reinforce learning. Plus, practice quizzes to track progress.

Middle School

  • Explora for Middle Schools – Think Google Search, but Explora for Middle Schools offers a wide variety of quality information from encyclopedias to primary source documents.
  • Khan Academy – Listen to short lessons on all the major school subjects, available in a variety of languages, and create a personal profile to track learning.
  • Tutor.com – Connect virtually with high-quality tutors in a safe space and receive daily homework help from 3 – 11 p.m.

High School

  • Learning Express – Utilize this one-stop-shop for standardized test prep (ACT, SAT, PSAT), AP exams, GED test prep, and career and workplace exams.
  • Mango Languages – Choose from more than 70 languages and obtain step-by-step, interactive lessons that use audio and visual learning methods.
  • Writer’s Reference Center – Check for grammar, learn about writing tone and style, and access helpful tips and tools to navigate the writing process from beginning to end.
