Sustain SC welcomes new board member and announces executive committee updates
January 29, 2026Sustain SC announced updates to its Board of Directors, including the addition of a new board member and leadership changes to the Executive Committee that will support the organization’s purpose to build and grow a more sustainable future for South Carolina at the intersection of commerce and conservation.
Sustain SC is proud to welcome Erin Fisher, Senior Manager of Global Engagement at Boeing, to its Board of Directors. As a member of Boeing South Carolina’s State Advocacy and Global Engagement team, Erin works alongside nonprofit organizations, state and local elected officials, community members and Boeing teammates to help ensure the company is a strong and trusted neighbor across South Carolina. She brings a collaborative, community-driven perspective to Sustain SC’s mission and a deep commitment to advancing responsible growth across the state.
“I was introduced to Sustain SC through the Sustainability Leadership program, and it immediately resonated with me. The program brought together like-minded leaders from across the state and gave me the opportunity to visit communities and industries that are putting real, practical sustainability plans into action,” said Erin. “Sustain SC plays an important role in connecting businesses, communities and policymakers to advance conservation and responsible growth, and South Carolina is uniquely positioned to lead in this space. I’m excited to help share these best practices and support Sustain SC’s mission to create lasting, positive impact for our state.”
Sustain SC also announced updates to its Executive Committee. Danny Kassis, Vice President of Customer Relations and Renewables at Dominion Energy, has been named Chair of the Board after serving as Vice Chair in 2025. Ashley McLeod, President of Heritage Landcare, has joined the Executive Committee as Secretary.
“I’m honored to step into the role of Board Chair and continue supporting the important work Sustain SC is leading across our state,” said Danny. “I’m proud of what this organization has accomplished in the past four years, and even more excited about what’s ahead. Sustain SC has built strong momentum, and I have full confidence in the team and Board to continue executing on Sustain SC’s mission and strategy. I’m eager to help move this work forward.”
Ashley shared his enthusiasm for joining the Executive Committee and supporting Sustain SC’s work at an even deeper level. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as Secretary and support Sustain SC’s continued growth and impact,” said Ashley. “I care deeply about preserving South Carolina’s natural resources while advancing smart economic development that improves the lives of South Carolinians. Sustain SC is making meaningful progress across the state, and I’m excited to contribute to that momentum and help drive the work ahead.”
