Swig & Swine BBQ, with restaurants in West Ashley and Summerville, has been named “Best BBQ Pork Sandwich in South Carolina” by USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards in 2017. Swig & Swine BBQ is among 20 BBQ joints across South Carolina that were hand-picked by USA Today and South Carolina BBQ enthusiasts.

Swig & Swine Pitmaster Anthony DiBernardo offers two kinds of pulled pork sandwiches at his restaurants: pulled pork using only the Boston butt of the pig, and whole hog pulled pork, which is a South Carolina delicacy. But no matter the meat, everything is authentically smoked using only wood 24/7. Both types of pulled pork can be nestled between a soft bun for a juicy sandwich, with the option of topping it with five house-made sauces (Sweet Red, Vinegar, Carolina Mustard, Alabama White, and Jalapeno), coleslaw, or whatever your heart desires.
