Sylvan Learning Center of Spartanburg announces July Summer Camps

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Coding, science and STEM are the core of Sylvan Learning Center of Spartanburg’s July summer camps.
The camps are as follows:
• Creative Coding: Kids will learn coding skills. The kids will unleash their creativity and programming skills with coding projects in art, music and math — such as comic design, animation and even game design. July 8 through July 11, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Science Mania: Kids complete three makerspace “missions” to explore cool science concepts. Join the makerspace phenomenon where kids gather to create, tinker and explore new concepts using cool materials! In this highly interactive camp, the kids will go on three maker “missions” to explore science concepts like speed, motion, chemistry, gravity and sound. Let the creativity soar! July 15 through July 18, 10 a.m. to 12p.m.
• STEM Challenge: Kids will solve a real-world engineering problem, competing in teams. Kids will learn the process of invention and basic circuitry. They will practice the engineering design process and compete with a prototype of their original electronic textile invention. Awesome prizes for the top teams! July 22 through July 25, 9:30 a.m. through 12 p.m.
