Synergy Steel announced plans to establish new operations in Lancaster County. The $2.8 million investment is projected to create 139 new positions.
Synergy Steel provides solutions to the housing and construction industry through the collaboration of light gauge steel manufacturing and innovative framing and panelization techniques. Synergy Steel’s process of utilizing 3D modeling software to construct engineered products provides a solution to the industry’s rising construction costs and skilled labor shortage.
“Combining light gauge steel manufacturing with the newest framing and panelization techniques provides our clients competitive advantages in the marketplaces in which they serve. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of the growing success of Lancaster County and look forward to being part of and giving back to the community,” said Synergy Steel Chief Operating Officer Al Iagnemma.
Located at 1312 Camp Creek Road in Lancaster, S.C., Synergy Steel’s new, 32,000-square-foot facility will manufacture steel studs, engineered floor and roof trusses and wall panels for the construction industry. The process will involve a series of roller machines that will produce the final product, which will then be panelized before leaving the facility. Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2018, and interested applicants should visit the company’s websitefor more information.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.
