ANDERSON, SC – Tactical Medical Solutions® and the American Red Cross have entered into a brand licensing partnership for the SOF® Tactical Tourniquet Wide. This multi-year partnership will deliver a superior tourniquet on the market to the country’s leading provider of first aid training. This announcement comes on the heels of tourniquet guidance from the International Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) standards and recommendations from the Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council who looked at tourniquet and performance characteristics.

Red Cross Health and Safety instructors teach valuable lifesaving skills to an average of 9 million people a year in businesses, schools, and communities.  With hemorrhage control initiatives spanning from the White House to local communities, this partnership will be the flagship effort that will highlight the importance of bystander care for traumatic events.

“The Red Cross recommends that everyone be trained in First Aid and CPR/AED skills,” said Stephen Glockenmeier, vice president of Brand Strategy and Licensing for the Red Cross.

“This partnership solidifies the relationship between two market leaders in our efforts to deliver life-saving capabilities to all people in communities across the country.  The American Red Cross and Tactical Medical Solutions® have a history of being there when disaster strikes; Now we will be there together,” said Ross Johnson, CEO of Tactical Medical Solutions Inc.
