TCS Cares Donates Toys and Funds to Happy Wheels

August 13, 2012

COLUMBIA, SC – August 13, 2012 – TCS Cares, a community outreach group comprised of employees from Total Comfort Solutions, has donated toys and funds to support Happy Wheels, a 501c3 program affiliated with Children’s Hospitals in Columbia, Greenville and Charleston.

Total Comfort Solutions developed the TCS Cares group in its Columbia office to encourage caring that extends throughout the company and outward into the community. TCS Cares is committed to caring about the health and safety, personal needs, and professional and personal growth of the Total Comfort Solutions family as well as the broader needs of the community.

The Columbia TCS Cares group recently collected 30 toys and raised $200 to donate to the Happy Wheels program at Palmetto Richland Children’s Hospital. Happy Wheels volunteers visit hundreds of hospitalized children every week delivering books and toys and lifting the spirits of the sick.

The leadership at TCS fuels a caring environment, said Cheryl Rader, Business Systems Specialist at Total Comfort Solutions. For me, it is very rewarding to carry this outside of our workplace and into the community.

The TCS Cares group is just an extension of our company’s values, said Jim Reynolds, CEO of Total Comfort Solutions. We believe that it is important to create a teamwork atmosphere that is positive and fun, and to treat everyone with courtesy, respect and dignity. That isn’t limited to the customers we serve; it is our goal to make the communities in which we work better places to live as well.
