TD Bank branches to begin accepting Lexington County tax payments

COLUMBIA, SC – Paying Lexington County property taxes just got much easier.

Beginning June 1, Lexington County TD Bank branches will begin accepting tax payments, county Treasurer Jim Eckstrom announced today.

Eckstrom worked out the deal as part of a broader overhaul of banking services. In March, TD Bank began handling the county’s tax collections – a change he says will save taxpayers’ money and ensure the payments are processed locally in Lexington County.

The TD Bank locations accepting county tax payments are:

– 575 Columbia Ave., Lexington

– 4320 Sunset Boulevard, Lexington

– 1265 Lake Murray Boulevard, Irmo

– 200 S. Brecon Avenue, Swansea

– 260 Columbia Avenue, Chapin

– 1926 Augusta Road, West Columbia

 “Property taxes are burdensome enough as it is,” Eckstrom said. “We owe it to the taxpayers to make the process as convenient and efficient as possible. This arrangement will certainly make it more convenient.”
