TD Saturday Market Selected as Top 20 Event in Southeast

GREENVILLE, SC – November 19, 2012 – The TD Saturday Market, sponsored by TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, has been named one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s (STS) Top 20 Events in the Southeast for May 2013. The STS chooses the Top 20 honorees each month of the year through a highly competitive nomination and screening process.
Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the TD Saturday Market has become a signature City event, providing farm fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, seafood and other specialty foods to Main Street in downtown Greenville. Throughout the season, over 20,000 people shop at the farmers’ market featuring over 50 farmers and craft vendors. Along with providing fresh produce each week, the market also features free family friendly events, including children’s activities, live acoustic music and cooking demonstrations performed by local restaurant chefs and farmers.

The Southeast Tourism Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and development of tourism throughout the southeast. Founded in 1983, the STS now encompasses a dozen states in the southeast region and a membership of 1,000 individuals. Members represent all facets of the travel industry and work cooperatively to strengthen the region as a travel destination.
