TEC(R) G-Sport Infrared Green Grilling Offers Authentic Charbroil Flavor
May 14, 2009Grill It Up This Summer With the Best New Gas Barbeque
COLUMBIA, SC – May 14, 2009 – With grilling season just around the corner, the new G-Sport, introduced by TEC(R) Infrared Grills, is the perfect choice for your family’s outdoor barbeques this summer. Whether it’s hot dogs and hamburgers for Memorial Day or steaks and chicken on the Fourth of July, the G-Sport cooks food more than twice as fast as traditional convection grills and with less fuel, providing energy savings of more than 50 percent.
The G-Sport recently won Hearth and Home Magazine’s 2009 VESTA Award for Best New Gas Barbeque at the Home, Patio, and Barbeque Association Show in Reno and is TEC’s most versatile and affordable full-size grill (retail $1499) employing a patent-pending, 100% infrared grilling system that has the lowest turndown of any infrared grill available today.
Because the G-Sport cooks with 100 percent infrared energy, there is no hot air to dry out food, so food retains more of its own natural juices, said Bill Best, CEO. Even well-done meats remain tender and juicy, he said.
On low fire it smokes (200 degrees F), on high fire it sears (800 degrees F), and large pieces of meat cook to perfection without a rotisserie. By eliminating the hot air associated with grilling, this grill also prevents flare-up that creates charring of food that has been linked to cancer in recent medical studies.
As a permanent grill on a stand, the G-Sport comes with an optional pedestal base designed for easy assembly. Designed to be used with a 20 lb. LP gas tank, the G-Sport can be converted for natural gas use with a TEC(R) conversion kit and provides fuel efficient, green grilling.
And because the volume of CO2 emitted by a burner is directly proportionate to the amount of fuel consumed, CO2 emissions are also reduced by more than 50 percent, Best said.
When Best developed the first gas-powered infrared burner in the early 1960s, his company, Thermal Engineering Corporation, utilized this new technology to build large ovens and paint systems for the automobile industry. In 2005, Best completed the development of the new 100% stainless steel infrared burner that TEC employs in its grills today.
TEC(R) Infrared Grills is a division of Thermal Engineering Corporation. With over 100 patents and patents pending, Thermal Engineering Corporation has been the leader in the development and implementation of fuel efficient, infrared energy systems for almost 50 years.
