Ted Gentry named to the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees
November 14, 2017Wyche Attorney Ted Gentry has been named to the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees (SCICU).
SCICU seeks to advance higher education through fundraising, scholarships, and research, and by facilitating collaborative activities among the member institutions. Additionally, SCICU encourages policies that support higher education. The SCICU board comprises leading citizens representing a cross-section of higher education, business, and civic leadership in South Carolina.
Ted Gentry focuses his practice on complex commercial and financial litigation, including class actions, in both state and federal courts. He also has a substantial practice counseling and litigating on behalf of colleges and universities. Mr. Gentry has been active in the community, serving at various times on the Boards of the Peace Center for the Performing Arts, the Greenville Little Theatre, and the Carolina Youth Symphony. He is also principal bassoonist of the Foothills Philharmonic and GLOW Lyric Theatre, where he is also serves on the board. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University and Yale Law School.
