The Big Red Barn Retreat celebrates nine consecutive years of grant support from the Dorothy D. Smith Charitable Foundation

The Big Red Barn Retreat, a leading nonprofit organization in Blythewood, South Carolina, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a grant from the Dorothy D. Smith Charitable Foundation for the ninth consecutive year. This enduring partnership underscores the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to supporting organizations dedicated to making a difference in their communities.

The Big Red Barn Retreat, nestled on 75 acres in Blythewood, SC, has been steadfast in its mission to provide program, services, and training for the military and first responder communities based on the science of posttraumatic growth. Through a diverse range of services, including equine assisted psychotherapy & learning, healing arts, peer to peer mentoring, yoga, tai chi, and meditation, the organization has positively impacted the lives of countless individuals who have served our nation and communities.
