The Chamber welcomes Jason Colón in Military Executive Fellow role

June 26, 2024

The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome Military Executive Fellow, Jason Colón to their staff.

Colón dedicated nearly 33 years of service to the U.S. Air Force, culminating in his retirement in the summer of 2023. In the early stages of his career, he distinguished himself as a member of the Special Operations Weather Team (SOWT). He later ascended to senior leadership roles, including serving as the Command Chief for Joint Base Charleston. His profound connection to the region inspired him to settle in the greater Charleston area upon retirement.

Jason has shared 32 years of marriage with his wife and are proud parents to two children and grandparents to one grandson. As he transitions to civilian life, Colón is committed to strengthening the ties between the military and veteran community and the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, leveraging the opportunities available today and those forthcoming.

In his role as Military Executive Fellow, he will work closely with the Senior Director of Military Affairs to support veteran transition initiatives, establish the Military Advisory Council, work with defense industry partners and support initiatives that improve the quality of life for those in active duty, the veteran populations and their respective spouses and dependents.
