September 5, 2023

The Charleston Metro Chamber announced Claire Wilson has joined the Chamber team as Operations Manager. In this role, she will support the Operations team by working directly with the CEO and senior team to facilitate work priorities, managing day-to-day operations for the Chamber, supporting Board and Executive Committee meetings and facilitating onsite meetings for Chamber members, amongst additional responsibilities.

“Claire is diving headfirst into her role with professionalism and passion!” said Lucy McNerney, Director of Executive Operations. “She has extensive knowledge of our Chamber, our region and its leaders. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her on the team. Her energy for our mission is apparent and contagious!”

Prior to joining the Chamber team, Claire worked for MyNDSpace Mental Health Services as the Director of Communications and Public Relations. Claire focused her efforts on creating researched-based content for various outlets, developing and negotiating marketing campaigns, overseeing and approving design work and layouts, along with managing local partnerships for contracted services and project management responsibilities.

Claire is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee but moved back to her family’s hometown of Charleston, SC when she was four years old. She attended both the University of South Carolina and Charleston Southern University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications. In Claire’s past experience with the Charleston County School District, she served as the Communication Project Manger for strategic initiatives and engagements district-wide, which earned her recognition from the SC/NSPRA. This inspired her to launch her own public relations consulting business in 2021. In addition to Claire’s professional achievements, she is also a proud alumna of the Chamber’s 2017 Leadership Charleston class. Claire and her son, J.R., currently reside in West Ashley.
