The Charleston Metro Chamber welcomes Olivia Vernon to their Talent team

TheĀ Charleston Metro ChamberĀ is pleased to announce Olivia Vernon has joined the Chamber team as Talent Program Manager. In this role, she will work with the Talent team to develop and further platform initiatives, provide connectivity to Chamber members in regard to workforce development opportunities and collaborate with area education and training partners to support and streamline processes around developing local talent.

ā€œWe are extremely excited to welcome Olivia as the newest member of the Chamber team,ā€Ā said Celeste Granger, Associate Vice President of Talent with the Charleston Metro Chamber. ā€œOlivia brings a vast experience in adult learning, higher education and events management to our team.ā€

Prior to joining the Chamber team, Olivia worked at the College of Charleston in the Department of Residence Life, where she was responsible for developing and implementing student engagement initiatives for on-campus student residents. Also, Olivia focused her efforts on training and recruiting department staff, along with managing the day-to-day operations of residential facilities and building staff.

Olivia is originally from Asheville, North Carolina and earned an undergraduate degree in history, from North Carolina State University, before earning a master’s in student personnel administration in higher education, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Olivia enjoys spending time with her rescue pit bull, Oscar and exploring the area’s food scene, especially barbecue spots.
