The COMET to host Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Public Participation meeting
April 22, 2019The COMET (Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority) is hosting a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Public Participation meeting to solicit input in the establishment of the three-year DBE goal for contracts that are funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) of the USDOT for federal fiscal years 2020-2022. Attendance and input is especially encouraged from minority and women business owners, general contractor groups, community organizations and other organizations which may have information concerning the availability of disadvantaged businesses and their access to contract opportunities in The COMET market area.
The COMET staff will also provide information to attendees about upcoming COMET contracting and procurement opportunities as well as the DBE Certification process.

About The COMET
The COMET is a service of the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority and provides countywide public transit services on 38 fixed routes, two ReFlex services, with a vanpool service, subsidy programs with Lyft and Uber, 10 bikeshare stations in Columbia and DART ADA complementary paratransit service throughout Richland and eastern Lexington Counties.
