The Commons introduces QR code ordering system

April 1, 2026

New Technology Streamlines Multi-Vendor Ordering

The Commons announced the launch of a new QR code ordering system, a seamless digital solution designed to enhance the guest experience. The me&u platform gives guests greater convenience and flexibility throughout their visit, allowing them to browse menus, place orders from multiple vendors, and reorder without having to step back in line.

“At its core, The Commons has always been about bringing the community together around great food and drink,” said Barnes Connell, managing director of Aston. “This rollout is a natural extension of that vision. By removing friction from the ordering process, we’re giving guests more time to connect, explore, and enjoy everything our tenants have to offer.”

QR codes are now located throughout the food hall, including on tables, bars, and other high-visibility areas. Guests can simply scan a QR code with their mobile device, explore vendor menus, and complete their order in one streamlined experience. Once an order is ready, guests receive a text notification prompting them to pick up their food or drinks directly from the vendor.

One of the system’s most notable features is the ability to order from multiple vendors in a single transaction, making it easier than ever for guests to explore the full range of culinary concepts The Commons has to offer. While guests still have the option to place their orders at the window, the ordering system is designed to increase convenience and preserve the social, community-driven atmosphere.

The rollout reflects The Commons’ broader commitment to evolving the guest experience to further build community. By giving guests the option to skip lines and order on their own schedule, the new system creates a more efficient visit, allowing them for more personal interactions that define The Commons’ atmosphere.
