GREENVILLE, SC – The Heirloom Companies recently won four awards for its exceptional designs during National Ornamental and Miscellaneous Metals Association (NOMMA)’s Top Job Awards Banquet on Saturday, March 19 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Greenville. The Heirloom Companies received two gold awards in the Exterior Railings & Fences (Forged) and the Furniture & Accessories (Forged) categories, as well as two bronze awards in the Furniture & Accessories (Non-forged) and Gates & Doors (Non-forged) categories. This is the third year in a row The Heirloom Companies has received awards in this national competition.

“The Heirloom Companies is so pleased to have been recognized at this year’s Top Jobs Awards Banquet,” said Ben Moseley, Head of Operations for The Heirloom Companies. “To be honored by your peers really speaks volumes about your craftsmanship, and we are so proud to have many talented artisans in our company. This year’s awards are particularly special since the conference and awards were held in Greenville for the first time, so it’s great to bring recognition not only to your company, but also our region of the country.”

Top Jobs is NOMMA’s annual competition NOMMA where member organizations can enter designs and products in 17 categories. Each category has a gold, silver and bronze winner, which was announced on the last night of the 2016 METALfab Conference. Top Job entries are displayed throughout the conference, and every member organization receives one vote per category.

The Heirloom Companies won its first gold award in the Exterior Railings & Fences (Forged) category for an eclectic entryway railing. Using aluminum, artisans forged the creation to resemble fluid shapes with fantasy-like movement. The project was completed with an acid-based patina to lend it an earth-tone color.

Its second gold award entry was in the Furniture & Accessories (Forged) category. A previous client approached The Heirloom Companies to design a dining table, with seating for up to 20 people. All elements of the custom table were hand forged, and features include a center pedestal focal point and brass accent pieces.

In the Gates & Door (Non-forged) category, The Heirloom Companies was awarded the bronze for a custom door made out of aluminum and stainless steel hewn into decorative cut-out shapes. The door was finished in a water-based metallic paint.

Finally, The Heirloom Companies earned another bronze award in the Furniture & Accessories (Non-forged) category for its embellishment work on an existing stone bench. The company created a curved iron backrest with a powder coat finishing to enhance and complete the outdoor seating arrangement.
