The Ladies Lock-In, a small business event at Columbia Metropolitan Airport

Tyra Risher of “Perfect Presents” in partnership with Columbia Metropolitan Airport presents “The Ladies Lock-In” a small business event featuring vending by female small business owners. The event will take place on Saturday, June 2 from 9:00 am – 12 noon and will be located on the upper level of the Airport’s parking garage.

Ms. Risher hosted her first Ladies Lock-in at her home and quickly realized she needed more space. The second Lock-In was held in the Airport’s Carolina Room and once again, the female business owners outgrew the space as they were coming from all parts of South Carolina.

For this third event, Ms. Risher has partnered with the Columbia Metropolitan Airport and moved to the largest space available at the Airport, which is the top of the parking garage. There will also be food trucks and a female DJ – DJ SlayHer.

“I am so excited about the event as this partnership just made sense” said Chappelle Broome, Director of Human Resources & Diversity and who is also responsible for the Airport’s small/minority/women owned business outreach program. “I admire what Tyra is doing to give opportunity, exposure, and to build relationships among female small business owners. This event fits the Airport’s commitment to our small business community.”

“As a small business owner of Perfect Presents by Tyra, I have been able to inspire ladies to step out on faith and start their own small businesses and give them my advice about growth, support and sisterhood,” said Tyra Risher, Perfect Presents.

We encourage everyone to come out on Saturday, June 2 to meet some great business owners, buy some products, eat some great food and listen to music by DJ SlayHer. A percentage of the profits from the Ladies Lock-In will be donated to the Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.
