The Leon Levine Foundation invests $50,000 in WellPartners Dental and Eye Clinic

July 5, 2023

United Way of the Midlands’ WellPartners Dental and Eye Clinics received a $50,000 grant from The Leon Levine Foundation to support the continuation of clinic services.

WellPartners offers dental and eye care services that provide preventative and restorative care to uninsured and underinsured children and adults in the Midlands. WellPartners is owned and operated by United Way of the Midlands with additional support from community partners, including Lexington County, Lexington Medical Center, Prisma Health and Richland County.

Access to quality dental care is essential for maintaining overall health and well-being, particularly for uninsured and underinsured individuals. Community initiatives that focus on providing preventative and restorative services can significantly impact the lives of those in need. By collaborating with local healthcare providers, such as katoomba dentist, clinics can ensure that patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their specific needs, helping to prevent dental issues before they escalate.

By raising awareness about the importance of regular dental checkups and preventive care, organizations can empower individuals to take charge of their dental health. This proactive approach not only reduces the incidence of dental problems but also promotes a culture of wellness that benefits the entire community.

For those looking to enhance the appearance of their teeth, veneers offer an excellent solution. Whether you’re dealing with chipped, stained, or misaligned teeth, veneers can provide a seamless transformation, giving you a bright and flawless smile.

The process of applying veneers is minimally invasive, making it an attractive option for those who want a quick yet effective aesthetic improvement. This type of treatment allows individuals to feel more confident in their appearance, which can have a lasting positive impact on their overall well-being.

At Asaro Dental Aesthetics, the team takes a personalized approach to smile design, ensuring that each veneer is crafted to suit the unique features of your face. With advanced techniques and a focus on patient care, they help individuals achieve natural-looking results that complement their facial structure and enhance their smile. Investing in veneers is an opportunity to embrace a brighter, more confident version of yourself while maintaining the health and integrity of your teeth.

“The Leon Levine Foundation is pleased to partner with United Way of the Midlands and WellPartners to provide essential dental and eye care services within our community,” said Tom Lawrence, President and CEO of The Leon Levine Foundation. “Increasing access to affordable healthcare is a key component of our mission.”

In the 2022-2023 fiscal year, WellPartners Dental Clinics provided 3,134 patient visits for dental services, 737 of which were for children. WellPartners Eye Clinic has provided 1,993 patient visits for eye care services. 923 eye patients needed and received eyeglasses to correct their vision.

“When oral health concerns go untreated, it hinders the overall health of individuals, and we are thankful for the support of partners like The Leon Levine Foundation that assist us in building a community with equal access to healthcare,” said Sara Fawcett, President and CEO of United Way of the Midlands.
