The Midlands Proclaim Small Business Week
April 29, 2015Small Business Week will Begin May 4, 2015 with a Press Conference from the Columbia Chamber, the City of Columbia, and Richland County.
COLUMBIA, SC – The Columbia Chamber, the City of Columbia and Richland County will announce the official start of National Small Business Week in Columbia, South Carolina with a press conference on May 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Columbia Chamber.
National Small Business Week is a country-wide campaign organized by the United States Small Business Administration to support and acknowledge the importance of small businesses to the country’s economy. Columbia has participated in the event since 2012 with local programs and events to develop and enhance the presence of small businesses in the community.
Speakers include:
- Lee Catoe, Director of Community Affairs a Small Business, Columbia Chamber
- Carl Blackstone, President and CEO, Columbia Chamber
- Boyd Jones, Chairman, Columbia Chamber
- The Honorable Steve Benjamin, Mayor, City of Columbia
- The Honorable Torrey Rush, Chairman, Richland County Council
