The NY Cat & Dog Film Festivals bring heartwarming pet stories to The Nick
March 13, 2025Get ready for a purr-fectly delightful and tail-waggingly fun day at The Nickelodeon Theater on April 12, as we welcome The NY Cat Film Festival and The NY Dog Film Festival—two unique cinematic celebrations of our beloved four-legged companions.
The NY Cat Film Festival begins at 1:00 PM, offering a heartwarming and insightful look into the mysterious and magical world of felines. This family-friendly collection of short films explores the profound bond between cats and humans, highlighting both the joy and challenges of sharing our lives with these independent yet affectionate creatures.
Later in the afternoon at 3:30 PM, the NY Dog Film Festival takes the stage with a two-hour program of inspiring, funny, and moving films celebrating the deep connection between dogs and their people. Featuring a mix of animated, documentary, and narrative shorts from around the world, this traveling festival brings together dog lovers of all ages for a shared experience of cinematic joy.
Whether you’re a cat person, a dog person, or just an animal lover at heart, these festivals offer a chance to experience the love, loyalty, and magic of our furry friends on the big screen. Plus, 10% of ticket sales will be donated to Final Victory Animal Rescue, supporting local efforts to care for and rehome pets in need.
Tickets for both festivals are on sale now at nickelodeon.org. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the incredible animals who share our lives!
